Victorian Town at Work

The Victorian Town at Work committee promotes and brings to life Oamaru's Victorian heritage and is the organisation behind a spectacular Victorian Fete, the grand finale to Oamaru's Victorian Heritage Celebrations. The Victorian Fete is held each year on the 3rd Sunday in November.

The streets of Oamaru come alive with the atmosphere of yesteryear throughout the week of the Victorian Heritage Celebrations. Everyone is encouraged to join in by stepping out in period costume. Why not don your finery or dress down as a street character.
