Oamaru offers a series of walkways providing sea views, unique vantages over the town’s historic attractions and the chance to enjoy the solitude of our wide open spaces. Both self guided and guided walking tours are available around the town as well as a walk that takes in places of interest in the life of locally born author Janet Frame.

When enjoying walking tracks and trails please make sure you are suitably attired and prepared for changes in the weather. Sun block is needed in warmer months and always let someone know your expected return times.
