This is the World's adventure playground

Hey, don't take our word for it. We're not saying it. And it's not some flabby ad man with abs of custard either. It's Bear Grylls who says "This is the world's adventure playground." And he should know. Bear's the real deal. He's the guy in Man vs Wild which is basically Bear going into the wilderness, then surviving by eating raw hedgehogs and sleeping in volcanoes.

When Bear goes bush it's not Man vs Mild. That's why he came to the South Island of New Zealand in March 2011. Because it is "the world's adventure playground."

You can pick your own adventure here, walk on the wild side any way you want. If you want wild wild, we've got it. If you want mild wild, we've got that too. You can watch whales, swim with dolphins, see penguins, kiwis, tuatara, albatross, all up close and natural - in a landscape good enough for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
